Special Assembly on Children's Day

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” D/P, Greetings to all our wonderful parents!! As the nation celebrates the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and his love for children in the form of Children’s Day, a Special Assembly was held at Kanossa Convent School to mark this occasion, conducted by the Teachers. As usual, it began with chanting of Gayatri mantra and a prayer to seek the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. Shalini Dixit mam delivered the thought while Ms. Neha mam conducted gk quiz .Ms. Meenakshi Kapoor mam read the News today. Ms. Bhavika delivered the speech . All the students had a delightful time. There was a “special performance” of dance by our beloved teachers and the credit of choreography goes to Mr.Ajay Sir . ORANGE DAY CELEBRATION

Greetings!! D/P, We all are extremely delighted to share our joy and spirit of love with you all. Today Little Toddlers of Kanossa Convent School has enjoyed Orange Day Activity. Orange colour is a symbol of glory and fruits of the earth and is also known as the wisdom ray. Our little kids were dressed in beautiful shades of Orange, shining brightly. Our Li'l Super Stars learnt various other things about the orange colour which also symbolizes enthusiasm, hope and prosperity. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with orange coloured objects, ribbons and toys. They brought many objects like carrot, orange, marigold, orange toy car and may other orange coloured things. The children did interesting activities on “Show and Tell” related to this colour. The children of Play,Nursery and Kindergarten showed the objects in the class and identify the name of the objects. It is also considered as a sacred festival. Hindi Debate Competition

A Hindi debate competition was organized for classes 6 to 8, providing a platform for young minds to showcase their linguistic skills, critical thinking, and confidence. Students from classes 6, 7, and 8 enthusiastically took part in the competition, demonstrating their research skills, creativity, and public speaking abilities. The debate began with the 'अनुमोदक' team presenting their arguments in favor of the motion, The 'विरोधी' team countered with their perspectives, emphasizing the potential drawbacks and challenges.The participants engaged in a respectful and structured discussion, presenting their points, counterpoints, and rebuttals. The judges, impressed by the students' confidence and linguistic proficiency, evaluated their performances based on content, delivery, and overall impact. The Hindi debate competition not only promoted critical thinking and public speaking but also fostered a deeper understanding of the language and its nuances. Excursion to Fun and Food Village Water Park

"Immersing ourselves in a day of unbridled joy, our excursion to the Fun and Food Village Water Park for class 3 to 8 was an unforgettable adventure! With thrills and spills galore, we splashed our way through the water slides, waved pools, and lazy rivers, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The excitement was palpable as we arrived at the Fun and Food Village Water Park, a treasure trove of thrills and spills awaiting our eager students. The sun shone bright, casting a warm glow over the sprawling water wonderland, where laughter and screams of delight filled the air. Our young adventurers eagerly changed into their swimwear, ready to dive into a day of splashing fun and making memories with their friends. As we entered the park, the students' eyes widened with wonder at the array of water slides, each one promising a unique thrill. The brave ones made a beeline for the towering water slides, zooming down steep chutes and splashing into the cool blue water below. Others preferred the gentle waves of the lazy river, floating effortlessly on inflatable tubes. The little ones frolicked in the shallow pools, their giggles echoing through the air as they played with water guns and sprinklers. But the fun didn't stop there! Our students also enjoyed the thrilling wave pool, bobbing up and down on the surf-like waves. And when they needed a break from the water, they indulged in delicious treats from the food stalls, savoring juicy burgers, crispy pizzas, and sweet ice creams. Throughout the day, our teachers and guides ensured everyone's safety, allowing the students to focus on having the time of their lives. Dussehra Celebration

Dear Parents, We are thrilled to share the joy and enthusiasm with which our little ones celebrated Dussehra this year! The school was abuzz with excitement as our Nursery to UKG students arrived dressed as beloved characters from the Ramayana – Lord Ram, Sita, Hanuman, and Ravan. The children looked absolutely adorable in their costumes and brought the essence of this legendary tale to life. Their excitement was contagious, making the day both fun and meaningful. The teachers took this opportunity to explain the importance of good triumphing over evil through stories and engaging conversations. In Classes I and II, the celebrations continued with a special craft-making session. The students showcased their creativity by making vibrant, glittering Ravana masks. Activity related to Gandhi Jayanti.

To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, our school organized a creative craft activity for the classes Play way to II, that allowed students to express their admiration for the Mahatma's life and teachings. The students were tasked with creating various craft projects that reflected Gandhi's principles of non-violence, truth, and simplicity. Some students crafted spinning wheels, symbolizing Gandhi ji’s emphasis on self-sufficiency and the importance of the charkha in India's struggle for independence. Some students crafted 3D models of Gandhi ji’s iconic spectacles and some some students crafted Gandhi ji’s iconic three monkeys . The classrooms were transformed into a vibrant hub of creativity, with students enthusiastically cutting, pasting, painting, and crafting their projects. Teachers guided and encouraged the students, ensuring that each craft project was not only aesthetically pleasing but also conveyed the significance of Gandhi ji’s legacy. Through this engaging craft activity, students gained a deeper appreciation for Gandhi ji’s life and teachings, while developing their creative skills and critical thinking. Saluting Lal Bahadur Shastri, a true patriot and leader who inspired a nation with his slogan 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' .A champion of India's self-reliance and sovereignty . Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti were celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at our school. The day began with a morning assembly, where students and teachers gathered to pay tribute to the Father of Our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and the second Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri. followed by inspiring speech by teacher highlighting the lives and contributions of these two legends and patriotic performances by our students. Excursion to E-O-D Adventure Park

"Excursions are where education meets experience, and students learn lessons that last lifetime. "A Day of Fun and Learning: Excursion to EOD " The Adventure Park" Dear Parents, Our young adventurers from classes Nursery to Second embarked on an exciting journey to EOD - "The Adventure Park, New Delhi", on a bright and cheerful morning. With great enthusiasm, the students, accompanied by their teachers, set out at around 9 AM in the comfort of AC buses, eagerly anticipating the adventures that awaited them. The park offered our toddlers a world of adventure and joy with endless fun, thrilling rides and adventurous activities designed to bring out the best in the little explorers. From swinging high on rides to balancing through obstacle courses, the students experienced a perfect blend of excitement and adventure. The teachers ensured that each child participated and enjoyed the various attractions, capturing memorable moments filled with laughter and joy. A Feast to Remember : The children also enjoyed a delightful spread of breakfast and lunch. Breakfast included a mix of tasty treats such as sandwiches, poha, pasta, puris, aloo sabji, and refreshing Frooti drinks. For lunch, the students indulged in a delicious array of chole, paneer, dal makhni, noodles, rice, salad, raita, naan, roti, and to top it all off—ice cream! It was a true culinary delight that kept their energy high throughout the day. Care, Safety, and Fun At our school : Safety is paramount for our school and this excursion was no different. With teachers overseeing every aspect of the day, from ensuring all safety protocols were followed to engaging with the students during every activity, the children were in good hands. White Day Celebration

White – so pure, calming, and brilliant! It is the colour of innocence, success, and purity. It is the colour that we all associate with and love. This is why teaching our kids to identify and relate to the colour is of paramount importance. To make the learning fun and interesting, we at Kanossa Convent School Sp organized the White Color Day. The day revolved around decorating everything white! Kids saw various white-coloured objects and learned to recognize them. Even the classrooms were decorated in-sync with the theme. Moreover, all children and teachers dressed in white, all of them looking like angels. The aura was immensely peaceful and calming throughout the day! All children participated in activities and spoke confidently, which was a moment of immense pride for the teachers. Infusing play and activity in learning make learning immensely fun and entertaining. Children also grasp lessons better and retain them for longer. That is why, we at Kanossa Convent School Sp, do our best to incorporate activities in lessons. White Color Day was a successful example of this. Yoga and Karate Training

Our school Kanossa Convent School sp is proud to offer yoga and karate classes as part of our extracurricular activities, providing students with a unique opportunity to develop their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Janmashtami Celebration

At Kanossa Convent School Shauryapuram, Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated by the staff and students with great zeal and enthusiasm . Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces. Before we delve into the invaluable lessons children can learn from Lord Krishna, let’s take a moment to understand how Janmashtami is celebrated in our school. Our campus is adorned with vibrant decorations each year, and the spirit of devotion fills the air. A splendid and colourful performance by the Students depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil. Students truly communicated the message that "Every moment of life is worth a Celebration. The more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is in life to celebrate." Children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna. The presentation depicted the varied images of life from birth to manhood transporting one to the world of splendour, colour, myth and legend. It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers. Janmashtami, the vibrant and joyous celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth, has a special place in our hearts here at Kanossa Convent School. A Rakhi Making and Envelope Making Competition was held for Classes 3 to 8. The students’ used their creativity and ingenuity to create dazzling Rakhis and evelopes. Raksha Bandhan Celebration

"Raksha Bandhan: A symbol of the unbreakable bond between siblings." Kanossa Convent School Sp celebrating the beauty of sibling love and wishing a very happy and prosperous Raksha Bandhan. Raksha Bandhan, also known as Rakhi, is an ancient and meaningful festival with deep roots in Indian culture and tradition. The history of Raksha Bandhan dates back thousands of years, and its significance has evolved over time. Raksha Bandhan is a delightful occasion for students to celebrate the bond of love and protection. When celebrated in school, it brings joy and fosters a sense of camaraderie among the students. KCS celebrated Raksha Bandhan with great ardour and gaiety. The celebrations began on Friday with the preprimary students coming dressed in their colourful best for Rakhi tying. The sight of little KCS Super Kids in their traditional attires was one to behold. Girls tied a sacred thread on the boys’ wrist and they gave them a chocolate as a token of love. All the students enjoyed too much. It was an occasion for them to express their love, acceptance, care and gratitude for people around.

Independence Day Activity.

To commemorate the 78th Independence Day, our school organized a plethora of activities that ignited the spirit of patriotism and freedom among students. A vibrant flag-making, kite making, thumb and palm prints, wall hanging, paper craft and more. students showcased their creativity by designing and crafting through various activities. These activities not only celebrated India's independence but also educated and inspired students to become responsible citizens.

Upbeat music plays as the host, a lively and charismatic students takes the stage. Our Grand Finale of dance event was an UNFORGETTABLE DAY of music, movement, and magic! We're still buzzing from the energy of our talented performers, who brought the house down with their incredible routines! The school's Grand Finale of dance competition was a resounding success, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our students. The event, held in the packed school auditorium, was a culmination of weeks of intense practice and preparation, as teams from various grades vied for the top prize. The atmosphere was electric, with students, teachers, cheering on their favorite performers. The competition kicked off with a bang, as the first performer took to the stage, delivering a high-energy routine that set the bar high. What followed was a mesmerizing display of dance styles, from hip-hop and contemporary to Bollywood and classical , each performance more impressive than the last. The judges, were tasked with the difficult job of scoring the students, providing constructive feedback and encouragement. In the end, after much anticipation, the auditorium erupted in cheers and applause. Green Day Celebration

“Green is the prime colour of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises.” Everything around us is an array of colours. Green is the most common colour in the natural world, think of nature and see green in all its glory expressing renewal, life and energy. In order to emphasize the importance of green colour, Kanossa Convent School Sp had Green colour recognition day celebration today. All the students and teachers came dressed in different shades of green. Students were taught the identification and recognition of green vegetables, leaves, trees and various other green objects. They danced on Green colour songs and performed different activities. To provide sensory experience to our little ones for exploring this colour, Leaf and Hand Printing activity was also conducted in which children took part with great enthusiasm.Celebration of green colour days provided an opportunity to the little Kanossians a practical learning experience and made their day more enjoyable

Show and tell Competition

We are feeling immensely jovial to share pictures of today’s Show and Tell Competition organised by our school for the classes I to VIII. To improve the communication and descriptive skills in children “Show and Tell” competition plays a vital role. Children described and spoke a few lines on the object of their choice. They even managed to include a social message in their descriptions. Through this activity there was not only an enhancement in the vocabulary of the students, but a boost of confidence also seen. They spoke with a lot of confidence, facial expressions, and voice modulations. Overall, the competition was a spectacular learning experience for kids!

Agility Ladder Training

Agility ladders are great to develop your students’ footwork, speed, control & co-ordination, and an awesome opportunity for them to practice movement patterns that are used across a multitude of different sports. It improves three key fitness factors—speed, agility and quickness—in addition to strengthening joints, ligaments and tendons. Incorporating agility ladder workouts into fitness routine is also great for improving brain health. Fancy Dress Competition

We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing”. With the aim to nurture children’s creativity, a Fancy Dress Competition was organized at Kanossa Convent School Sp for class Play way to U.K.G.The tiny tots were full of enthusiasm as they became different characters and enthralled us with their colorful attires. This competition gave them an opportunity to grow their seeds of creativity while imbibing empathy and seeing the world through the eyes of someone else. The young ones used the stage to hone and express their talent while speaking a few lines about their character. The medium could not limit the creativity of the parents who dressed children with boundless imagination. They were dressed as superheros, fruits, vegetables, professionals, cartoon characters to name a few. Children also participated with a lot of enthusiasm and displayed their confidence while speaking. Their innocent words and stage presence won the hearts of everyone. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents. Sharing with you glimpse of today’s competition with great pride which shows the dedication and efforts our teachers, parents and students.

Vicharon Ki Abhivyakti Pratiyogita

We are extremely happy to share few glimpse of today's competition 'Vicharon ki Abhivyakti' organized by our school for the students of Class III to V. The objective of the competition was to make the students confident and better orators so that they can fearlessly express their views on the selected topics. The participants delivered their ideas with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best on the topics they had chosen. They were asked to present their views in the time slot of 2 minutes. They were judged on the criteria of content, fluency, voice modulation body language and presentation. The students were highly impressive and confident enough to deliver their words.It was indeed an amazing activity, enjoyed by everyone.

Poem Recitation Competition

Recitation is one of the most important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature. The main purpose behind conducting such competitions is to build self-confidence, develop oratory skills and self-expression. We organized an “English Poem Recitation Competition” for class Playway to UKG to bring out their poetic talent. Here sharing few glimpse of English Poem recitation competition .

Button/Unbutton Activity

Today, the tiny tots of class playway to UKG learnt how to button and unbutton a shirt as a part of their PLS (Practical life skill) activity. In doing practical life activities, the child can develop a high level of concentration, develop a sense of order, take pride in completing a job, increase independence, develop respect for his or her community and surroundings, and improve fine motor skills. The students have participated with great zeal and have fun while doing the activity. Sharing few glimpses of today’s activity for you to get mesmerised .

Sudoku Activity

“Life is like sudoku, all you need just place some things at the right place at the right time and then everything else will fall at its right place” We are feeling delighted to share few glimpse of sudoku activity organised for the students of class 1 and 2. A Sudoku puzzle is an excellent tool for building students' critical thinking skills. Students use the given numbers to help them fill in the blank squares. The aim is to fill the grid so that each row, column and box contains the same numbers, usually one to nine. Simple! This activity can promote faster eye scanning, better communication and thinking skills which can help improve their academic performance. English/Hindi Handwriting Competition

“The art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe.” With the invasion of technology, the beauty of handwritten letters and precise penmanship has unfortunately been lost in the digital shuffle. We gave a chance to all the students to revel in the joy of taking a pen to paper, to show the importance of handwriting Handwriting is an essential skill for students. It is an incredibly important exercise for students to encourage them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency. It also encourages and recognizes the good handwriting skills. It provides students with an opportunity to display their competency of legible writing. We are feeling extremely euphoric to share glimpse of today’s English/Hindi Handwriting Competition organised for class I to VIII. The objective of this competition was to encourage students to improve their calligraphy skills. The competition was organized in the respective classrooms. The response of the students was very encouraging. Majority of students had put in their best foot forward to enhance their writing skills.

Purple Day Celebration

Purple is the colour of royalty. It stands for wealth, power and creativity. We are feeling extremely happy to share few glimse of Purple Colour Recognition Day celebrated by the tiny tots of pre- primary wing. The motive of celebrating purple day was to make the students aware of the colour, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. Students and teachers were all dressed up in purple colour. Students brought objects of purple colour and spoke about it and enthusiastically participated in activities. Visual modes were used for presenting various purple things in nature. The purpose was to give our little toddlers a breathing space from regular routines

SPLASH POOL PARTY

D/P, Greetings!! One can’t have more fun than playing with water on a hot day in a splash pool! Splash pool is a great place to lounge in and escape the heat. Kanossa Convent School , Shauryapuram branch organised a pool party for the students of class Playway, Nursery,L.K.G & U.KG . Our Lil kanossians enjoyed water play activities and were able to strengthen their motor skills, build balance and the ability to propel and navigate. The tiny tots turned up in colourful swim suits and whilst had great fun, playing in the water. Observant teachers clasped their little hands and led them in, to wade. It was not long before the wary faces got filled with frolics! Thrilling music were relished by all. At the end of the Pool Party, the kids were still beaming and in no hurry to beat a retreat! WELCOME OF MOTHER'S ON MOTHER'S DAY CELBRATION

Mothers love – a brilliant GEM to be treasured.” The day that recognizes the essence of a mother, “Mother’s Day” is celebrated in high spirits and merriment on 11th May, 2024 with a great fervour & zeal in Kanossa Convent School Sp. Students put up a great show expressing their love for their mothers through beautiful songs, heart touching speeches, dance . Through their performances they told that Mother’s unconditional love, support and feeling of a security blanket around us is unmatched. We celebrated the joy of “Motherhood” by organizing special games and activities. It saw a good number of footfalls with enthusiastic mothers in the school campus, all set to spend a memorable fun-filled day.The Pre Primary segment had a lot of engaging activities and fun games for mothers. Mothers showed great enthusiasm in all the activities organized by the teachers whether it was the Dog in the bone, cup and balloon game, or Ramp walk , there was sheer happiness on the faces of all the mothers and children. The winners of all the games were felicitated with reward by our respected Principal ma'am Ms Neetu Singh . The mothers were thankful for organizing such an event to spend quality time. Pink Day Celebration

The Colour Pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink is yet a soothing colour that shows care and affection. The light-hearted Colour-Pink represents friendship, harmony, inner peace and approachability with depth and stability. Pink is often associated with innocence of childhood and unabashed play. Dressed in different shades of pink, the young ones looked charismatic radiating love, beauty and kindness. The classrooms were beautifully decorated with an array of pink colour objects like balloons, ribbons, soft toys etc. providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance. They got engaged in worksheet colouring wherein they coloured flamingo and flowers. The little ones enjoyed the activity and simultaneously understood the aesthetic sense of pink colour very well. Thus, the purpose of pink colour day celebration was successfully fulfilled. Sharing few glimpse of the celebration, hope it will make your day.

Earth Day Celebration

EARTH DAY is celebrated around the world with a beautiful message - “Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive.”Earth Day is a proof that even one person can make a global impact in a positive way. Echoing the same, Kanossa Convent School Sp celebrated “The Earth Day”through a series of activities on 22nd April. The whole school, whether it was the students, support staff, teachers, guards, admin staff or helpers took part in this “Go- Green initiative” .The students were reminded of simple doable actions towards safe Mother Earth. On this day, we try to plant a sapling or a plant which helps us from avoiding global warming. The students of primary wing enthusiastically participated in myriad of activities conducted in the classes to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth. To start with, the students learnt the importance of the Earth Day and the need to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet. A soulful dance performance dedicated to our blue planet and to celebrate the Mother Earth was organized. It touched upon the major issues Save trees and save water. Blue Day Celebration

'Blue is the colour of seas and oceans,Blue is the colour of wisdom and truth'. Blue is a dazzling hue that has the power to introduce calmness and serenity to our days. In color psychology, the color blue evokes feelings of relaxation and can reduce our stress levels. We are feeling immensely pleasure to share the glimpse of todays Blue Colour Recognition Day, organised for the classes Play way to U.K.G. Our kids with their so hard working educators celebrated 'Blue Day' with great enthusiasm. Kids wore the attires in different hues and tints of Blue. The teachers familiarised the students with a few blue objects like a blue bell flower and inkpot, a blue whale, a blue bird, the blue sky, the blue sea etc using props. The teachers danced and sang a peppy song on Blue for the children. The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities.
